Biomoda, Inc. is a development-stage company engaged in the research, development, production and marketing of in-vitro cancer diagnostic products. Biomoda’s non-invasive diagnostic assay is based on a patented porphyrin application that preferentially binds to cancerous or aberrant cells extracted from tissue samples. Its first product is aimed at the early detection of lung cancer based on analysis of deep-lung sputum samples. The Company has an agreement with the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology through the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services for a pilot study for the early detection of lung cancer among New Mexico veterans of military service. Biomoda also has a collaborative agreement with Medical Acoustics, LLC, to purchase its FDA-approved Lung Flute as part of the collection protocol for its lung cancer studies. In addition, Biomoda is working with Quintiles Consulting and Alquest, Inc. throughout the FDA approval process. Biomoda was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Albuquerque, NM.
